Welcome to Who Cares Psychotherapy. My name is Kim and I'm a Pluralistic Counsellor. I've worked with people from all walks of life and discovered that one of the things we all have in common is the need to be listened to. I decided to train as a counsellor when I experienced first hand how good listening can lead to real change in people's lives.

Good counselling gives you a safe and non-judgemental space to talk through anything and everything that you feel is causing you difficulties. For some people this may be deeply traumatic life events - past or present. For others, it may be a daily struggle, for example with anxiety or low self-esteem. You may not even know what is holding you back but know that you are not feeling OK.I won't tell you what to do or try to 'fix' you. But, I will support you while you figure out what is going on for you. You decide what you want to talk about and when, and each session goes at your pace.
Online sessions take place on Zoom. I will send you a link before your session and all you need to do is click on it. I offer sessions with or without video. I also offer telephone counselling for people who prefer that. In this case, I will call you on your number when the session is due to start.

I would like to make counselling accessible to as many people as possible. I have two main scales. See below for these. In addition, I have a limited number of heavily subsidised places available for those who need it. Please ask for more information.
This is the standard rate for a 50 minute session. Payable 24 hours before the session is due to start
This is my reduced rate for students, and anyone in receipt of state benefits.
Please ask for more information if you feel you need a subsidised place.
Use the form below to arrange an initial 20 minute session. This session is free of charge and gives us a chance to talk through your situation and decide whether we are the right fit for each other.
Please complete the form to get in touch. I will get back to you within 2 working days. Thank you.
I am a member of the National Society for Counselling and Psychotherapy and follow their ethical guidelines at all times.
I am also DBS checked, and subscribe to the annual update service.
If you are currently experiencing a mental health emergency ask a person you trust to help you seek help.
